Manage from the terminal
Everything on this page is saved in the same places as the desktop app: what you configure here shows up in the window, and vice versa. It is meant for headless servers, but it works the same on your own machine.
MCP servers
Section titled “MCP servers”contextcode mcp listar # user, project and localcontextcode mcp agregar --env API_KEY fs npx -y @modelcontextprotocol/server-filesystem /srvcontextcode mcp agregar --ambito proyecto -H "Authorization: Bearer X" docs https://example.com/mcpcontextcode mcp probar fs # starts it, does the handshake and lists its toolscontextcode mcp quitar fs- In
agregar, options go before the name; whatever follows the command is its arguments. - The transport is inferred: a URL is
http, anything elsestdio. Forsse, use--transporte sse. --env KEYwithout a value takes the value from your current environment, so the key doesn’t end up in the shell history.--ambito:usuario(default, applies to every project),proyecto(shared with the repository) orlocal(project-scoped but private).
The English aliases also work: mcp list|add|remove|test.
Skills
Section titled “Skills”contextcode skills listarcontextcode skills instalar owner/repo # from skills.sh; --global for every projectcontextcode skills quitar my-skillMessaging channels
Section titled “Messaging channels”contextcode canal configurar telegram # asks for the token without showing it and validates itecho "$TOKEN" | contextcode canal configurar slack --token -contextcode canal estado # which channels are ready, without showing tokenscontextcode canal telegram # leaves the agent listeningThe token is stored encrypted, just as from Channels in the app. It is not accepted as an argument so it doesn’t stay in the history. Useful options: --usuario <ID> (who can talk to the bot, repeatable), --canal-slack <ID> and --sin-validar for servers without internet access.
Automations
Section titled “Automations”contextcode automatizaciones listarcontextcode automatizaciones crear --nombre "Summary" --cada "diario 8" \ --destino telegram "Summarize yesterday's commits in the repository"contextcode automatizaciones ejecutar <id> # now, in the foregroundcontextcode automatizaciones desactivar <id>contextcode automatizaciones activar <id>contextcode automatizaciones borrar <id>--cada accepts "5 minutos", "2 horas", "diario", "diario 8" or a 5-field cron expression. --destino is telegram, slack, whatsapp (with an optional :recipient) or a URL. They are fired by the same scheduler as the app’s (contextcode tick). More in Automations.
contextcode caja listar # id, type, strength and expiry; never valuescontextcode caja guardar mantis/prod/me --tipo passwordcontextcode caja rotar mantis/prod/mecontextcode caja borrar mantis/prod/meValues are asked for in the terminal without echo and never as an argument. In scripts, --stdin reads them from standard input. It uses the vault of the project in the current directory, or the one in --workspace.
Models and providers
Section titled “Models and providers”contextcode modelos # models per provider; marks the active onecontextcode modelos usar glm-5 # default for chat and runcontextcode provider login openai --key # asks for the key without showing itecho "$KEY" | contextcode provider login openai --key -contextcode modelos usar changes the same default as the app’s model picker. --refrescar skips the 24-hour cache.
contextcode uso # today, week and monthcontextcode uso semana --jsonThe same tokens and costs as the app’s usage panel.
