Document viewers and editing

Context Code isn’t only about code: your project’s documents open in tabs, just like code files, with a dedicated viewer for each format — PDF, Word, Excel, images and more. And two of them can also be edited.

.docx files open in an editor with a full document formatting bar:

  • Typeface, size, bold/italic, strikethrough, superscript/subscript, text color and highlight.
  • Alignment (left, center, right, justify), line spacing, indents and spacing before/after.
  • Styles (Heading 1–6, quote, code), insert tables (pick the size from the grid) and insert images.
  • Page setup: paper size (A4, Letter, Legal, A5), portrait/landscape orientation and margins.
  • Designs you can apply in one go: Classic, Modern, Report, Minimal, Technical.
A .docx open in the app: formatting, styles, tables and page setup.

Excel workbooks open in a grid with their sheets as tabs:

  • Editing and saving for .xlsx (Ctrl+S; the “Unsaved changes” indicator warns you). Other spreadsheet formats open read-only — the app says so plainly instead of risking your data.
  • Chart it without leaving: pick the label and value columns and the shape — bars (horizontal too), lines, area, scatter or doughnut, with stacking to see parts of a whole.
  • If the sheet is huge, the view tells you how many rows/columns it is showing instead of pretending everything is there.
From grid to chart in two clicks: pick columns, pick a shape, chart it.

The agent can also answer with charts inside the conversation: data appears as an interactive chart with a “View chart” / “View table” toggle, and you can show or hide each series from the legend.

  • PDF: in-tab viewer for reading documentation, invoices, papers…
  • Images: viewer with zoom.
  • File card: attachments and files show their details (type, size…) at a glance.

Drag files into the chat (or use the attach button) to hand them to the agent as context: documents, images, data sheets. The system can also transcribe audio and video to bring them in as text — see Voice.

The viewer draws the .docx with its styles and counts pages, words and reading minutes.
The Markdown viewer edits live: what you type is saved in sync with the file.
